They still make the Pajero, they just don’t sell it in North America.

It’s still a very capable offroad machine, but the main complaint is that it’s really agricultural and rough to drive.

the current gen is very pretty and very capable, but mitsubishi just has no cachet in the US anymore

I had a 1988 Montero Sport 2 door with the LSD out of an LS. Loved that machine, it was unstoppable.

Changing the Montero to a unibody grocery hauler was the second biggest crime in Mitsu’s history.
